A former division one athlete, Matt channels his practice of excellence into creating innovative and delightful experiences for public and private clients. Working closely with local and national sources, he enlists top-tier talent, vendors, technicians, and sponsors to host unforgettable events.

With a sixth sense for what takes an experience from good to great, Matt brings thorough planning, precise execution and a creative instinct to every project. His portfolio includes ticketed music shows for over 600 guests, elegant sit-down dinners for 200, comedic and artistic performances, large-scale professional expositions, galas, private parties, and family-friendly productions — of all sizes.

Serving as Entertainment Director at Clubhouse Hamptons, a full-scale concert venue and recreation hub built by Rubenstein and his family, Matt is focused on diversification and growth. A driven creative director and leader of business development, Matt forges cross-industry partnerships and works tirelessly to curate a calendar of unique acts for the enormous property.

Matt has produced live shows for Amy Schumer, Craig Robinson, Joe Gatto, DL Huely, Dark Star Orchestra, MGMT, Joan Jett, Lupe Fiasco, The Wallflowers, The B52s, Yellowman, Sublime with Rome, Junior Marvin & The Legendary Wailers, Mystic & Zuri Marley, Don Felder, Don McLean, DJ Roosevelt, James Kennedy, and a host of local musicians and performers. He also launched the inaugural Hamptons Reggae Festival in July 2024.

In 2024, Matt spearheaded the rebranding of Clubhouse’s main stage and event space — the musical heart of the venue now dubbed “The Room” — where international musicians, comedians and celebrities continue to headline.

Deeply invested in the community, Matt takes pride in giving back by supporting local charities and nonprofits. During the Covid pandemic, he set up a site for the operation of Jon Bon Jovi’s soup kitchen which resulted in the star performing live to launch the Clubhouse’s main stage. Rubenstein continues to build a roster of epic performances, and facilitate events that benefit causes near and far.
